Final selection list of candidates under JK Super-75 and JK SuperB-75 Scholarship Schemes of Mission Youth - Kashmir Student
Whereas, online applications were invited from eligible male and female candidates belonging to marginalized section of society undergoing first year of Post-graduate course for scholarship under JK Super-75 and JK SuperB-75 scheme by Mission Youth, J&K;
Whereas, based on entrance and UG score, provisional lists comprising of 100 candidates each were notified by Mission Youth, J&K under JK Super-75 and JK SuperB-75 schemes for verification by district authorities. Subsequently, the candidates whose verification report was positive/ awaited were asked to attend screening at Jammu and Srinagar from 02-02-2022 to 08-02-2022;
Whereas, a list of 30 special category candidates (Person with Disabilities (PwD) & Insurgency related loss), for whom slots have been reserved as per scheme guidelines, was also notified for physical screening of documents before seeking verification from district authorities;
Whereas, district verification report have been received from all districts wherein out of the list of 100 candidates forwarded for verification under each scheme, 16 candidates under JK Super75 and 13 candidates under JK SuperB-75 were found ineligible by district authorities;
Whereas, during the physical document screening, detailed verification was carried out with respect to the eligibility criteria of the scheme especially the academic scores reported in the online form by the candidates;
Whereas, during the detailed document screening, it was found that many students have wrongly reported academic details such as course being pursued, scores in entrance/UG, maximum marks in entrance etc. Such cases were either rejected or merit points revised. Only those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria and have scored more than the cut-off score have been included in this final merit list;
Whereas, district verification is required with respect to some candidates and original documents are to be produced with respect to some candidates before release scholarship;
Whereas, representation of some candidates have been received with respect to their eligibility and such cases shall be dealt with separately;
Therefore, through the medium of this notice, the candidates figuring in the selection list (Annexure-“A”) are selected for scholarship under Super-75 and SuperB-75 of Mission Youth, J&K.
The terms and conditions of the scholarship as per the guidelines shall be as under:
1. The scheme covers the following expenses only:
a. Admission Fee
b. Tuition
c. Library Fee
d. Laboratory Fee
e. Sports Fee
f. Examination Fee
g. Hostel Charges/ Hostel Fee
h. Transport Fee
i. Other expenses, not exceeding Rs. 10,000 incurred on Purchase of Books/Study Material/ Stationery Items etc.
2. The candidates shall be released scholarship not exceeding Rs. 1.00 lacs in two installments:
a. First installment in 1st Year – Rs. 0.50 lacs
b. Second Installment after successful completion of second semester/first year subject to production of :
1. Certificate from University/Institution that the candidate attended more than 80% theory and 90% practical classes, if applicable, in the previous academic year.
2. Proof of successful completion of first year.
3. Expenditure details of First Year with documentary proof (on account of expenditure on heads listed in point (1) above.
c. The second installment shall be adjusted in such a manner that the aggregate scholarship may not exceed 2 times the actual expenditure during first year or Rs. 1.00 lacs, whichever is minimum.
d. The date for submission of documents for release of second installment shall be notified separately.
3. The scholarship shall be used by the candidate for specified purpose only. In case of contravention of this condition, the scholarship shall be recovered along with 10% penal interest.
4. The selected candidates shall have to complete the degree in the stipulated timeline for the regular course. In case the student fails to do so or leaves the degree/program midway, the entire scholarship amount shall be recovered from the candidate.
5. Upon completion of degree, the candidates shall immediately submit the final marksheet in the Office of Mission Youth.
6. The candidates marked with (*) and (^) in the annexed list shall be released scholarship after district verification by district authorities and production of original document in the Office of Mission Youth respectively.
7. The first installment of Rs.0.50 lacs shall be released in favour of the selected candidates subject to point No. (6) above.
